Privacy Policy

This explains what Capsealo collects, why, and what you can do about it. "Capsealo" means Capsealo, a Udyam-registered Micro Enterprise, India (Registration No. UDYAM-KR-03-0748723), operating the Capsealo web app.
1. What we collect
- Account info — your name, email address, and profile photo, from Google Sign-In.
- Capsule content — the video, audio, photo, title, and message you seal, plus its reveal date and who it's addressed to.
- Payment data — handled entirely by Razorpay. We receive a transaction reference and status, never your card, UPI, or bank details.
2. What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't look at a sealed capsule's contents before its reveal date — access to capsule media is restricted by policy and by our infrastructure's own access controls, the same standard any securely-hosted service relies on.
3. Who sees what
A capsule's visibility is whatever you set it to: private (only you), sent (you and the recipient), or public (anyone on Capsealo's DigiWall, only after the reveal date has passed).
4. Where it's stored
Capsule media is stored in encrypted object storage; account and metadata records live in a managed Postgres database. Both are operated by third-party infrastructure providers under their own security commitments — we don't run our own data centers.
5. Retention & deletion
Deleting your account removes your profile and unsealed drafts immediately, and queues sealed capsules (yours, and anything you sent to others) for permanent deletion within 30 days. Backups are purged on the same schedule.
6. Your rights
You can request an export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@capsealo.com from the address on your account.
7. Children
Capsealo isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes materially.
